God's day. This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24

1000 Gifts – Settling In

We have been in our house for just over two weeks now and are so, so thankful for all God has blessed us with here.

85.  So much help with moving out of old house and into new – all the friends and family who made it so easy.

86.  Starting to feel almost done with the move – just the pictures left to hang.

87.  Brother and sister who are happy to share a room – even if nights haven’t been going that smoothly.

88.  Watching chrysalids turn into butterflies.

89.  Exploring property with husband.

90.  So many new kinds of birds.

91.  Feeling so at home already.

92.  Not having the baby early – giving enough time to get all my type A stuff done.

93.  Getting into a new routine.

94.  Watching movies snuggled with my husband.

95.  Stove popped popcorn.

96.  Eating outside.

97.  Gazebo to give protection when the mosquitoes get too swarmy.

98.  Unpacking my bible in the last box today.

99.  New music.

100.  Inspiring birth books.

hey Leah – so glad the transition went well and you are enjoying your big move! i’d love to know more about the kids sharing a room. since that’s what we plan to do to…a)it’s good for them, b) we only have 2 rooms on the main floor, option B is for someone to be on another floor.

    • Tammy,
The room sharing is great during the day. At night it starts out fine but when Raine wakes up she wants me to sleep in there with her. Two kids and a very pregnant mama do not fit in a double. So we have her back with us for now – I am needing all the sleep I can get 🙂 She is getting her molars and we just moved so we are going to try again in a few months. When Liam was her age he started in his own bed and just quietly came into ours when he woke up, so we were hoping for the same but not yet.

  2. Leah – I bet that gazebo is perfect for your dinners! How is the property exploring going? Do you guys plan to cut some paths?

    • We have finally started exploring. I don’t know if we will cut paths or just let smaller ones be walked on enough to get around – I have a hard time cutting down anything.
