Six!
I spent today celebrating someone who changed my life forever.
Dear Liam,
You are naturally thoughtful and generous and I have much to learn from you. I thank God for you that you have shown me so much about unconditional love, giving up of oneself and living joyfully. I love your zest and enthusiasm for life, your quirky sense of humor, your never ending energy, how open you are about how you are feeling, your trusting spirit and how you say you will never get too old for my hugs and kisses.
xoxo
Love Mommy
This weekend we drove to a dino museum, went out for brunch after church at his favourite restaurant, played lego and lego games, ate homemade pizza for supper and topped the evening off with some lego cupcakes. Bedtime cuddles included conversation about growing, how many bottles it takes to pay for a water buffalo, making shadow puppets on the roof and telling mommy she looks like a fat giant watermelon (shadow puppet style). Hysteria ensued on all sides…A perfect weekend when you are six, or the mommy of someone who is six.

awww…love you Liam!!

Isn’t it a wonder that we want our babies to grow up to be happy, healthy and loving people…and as a mother (at least for me) I too often get stuck on the fact that they are growing up…rather than who they are growing to be. Lots of love to you Leah – congrats on being a mommy for six years! Happy birthday Liam
